Let’s turn your visitors into quality leads

03 August 2012

Whilst developing an online marketing strategy and a successful website it’s essential to consider many many factors which actually determine the future of online business. Pay particular attention to the following aspects – graphical layout, content, logical layout, web design, search engine optimization and non-intrusive lead generation.

Below I’d like to briefly review those factors so that you can check whether they work for you or not.

Graphical Layout. The term “graphical layout” includes all the surrounding design elements of a website. Ideally, they have to perfectly work together to create a professional and visually appealing website. If you use any pictures on the site, make sure they are of high quality. The graphical layout shouldn’t be littered up for simple reasons: 1) a website won’t look attractive and professional; 2) search engine spiders respond better to clear websites with well-structured information that they are searching for.

Don’t underestimate the importance of colors because they have an intense impact on the way people perceive your site, product and services. Select the color schemes carefully. Various color combinations can invoke a certain mood. If you manage to create the right mood, ultimately you will increase visit durations and amount of inquiries.

Web design. Another important aspect is the way your website has been built and put together. The way your site is programmed determines the loading time, cross-browser compatibility, search engine optimization and the ease that you will have to edit the information on your site and update the contents of your website.

According to the statistics, websites that take longer than 8 seconds to load lose about one third of their visitors. If you’re at the research stage of a web provider, spend some time to check out the load times of the other projects he deployed in the past.

Search engine optimization. A lot of websites have poor search engine optimization that never rank high in the major search engines despite their elaborate and attractive look. The whole picture looks good but it’s always going to be just a picture vamped up in some photo editor and launched on the web. If you’re interested in achieving high rankings in the search engines, better find a webmaster who knows how to optimize the site. The actual text on the site would be way more useful than text images.

Content. The next and very important factor in generating more leads from your traffic is the relative content. The quickest way to lose your potential customers is to not give the information they are looking for. The relevant content to the website theme will definitely restrain your visitors longer on the site and give the needed keywords for the search engines.
Logical layout. You may have a visually appealing website, good and relative content, comparatively high rankings and yet, the results won’t satisfy you because of a poor navigation system. Too complex website will make it a real challenge for a visitor to get to the needed information. In general, it should take just a few clicks to find an important bit of the text on the website.

Lead generation. You can implement all those processes, generate traffic and still create no lead. To provide a phone number and email on the site is simply not enough. What you need to do is to create separate pages from where your customers could request services or other information.
