The importance of a good web design

An ideal rule to abide by would be to have 70 per cent of writing content and 30 per cent of graphic files. Either the home or index page should reveal the main concept of the site. If you’re promoting a certain product or offer some services, make it known and obvious.

The site is expected to be attractive to the eyes and entice new customers all the time. The pages should be clear, readable and well-structured. Be very careful picking the colors for your website design. The mismatching colors and styles dispersed throughout the website would create undesired impression on the visitors. The site might look good enough for you, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that your visitors will share your opinion. That is why, professional help of a web designer would be very relevant.

Basic understanding of HTML codes would be sensible because it’s the code which all the websites are made up. You don’t have to be an expert but knowledge of the basics would be really helpful.
